Still not too late (Isaiah 48:18-22)

Thus saith the Lord , thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go. O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea: Thy seed also had been as the sand, and the offspring of thy bowels like the gravel thereof; his name should not have been cut off nor destroyed from before me. Go ye forth of Babylon, flee ye from the Chaldeans, with a voice of singing declare ye, tell this, utter it even to the end of the earth; say ye, The Lord hath redeemed his servant Jacob. And they thirsted not when he led them through the deserts: he caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them: he clave the rock also, and the waters gushed out. There is no peace, saith the Lord , unto the wicked.”

Is it too late
To heed your Word
To have peace
Like a river

Is it too late
To have righteousness
As the waves of the sea

Is it too late
Too late
Too late to apologize
Is it too late
Too late
Too late to apologize

It’s not too late
Still not too late to apologize
It’s not too late
Still not too late to turn around
It’s not too late
Jesus is waiting for knees to bow
It’s not too late
Still not too late to apologize
To Him

There is no peace-
Says the Lord-
For the wicked

There is no peace-
There is no peace-
Says the Lord-
For the wicked

There is no peace-
Says the Lord-
Says the Lord-
For the wicked

There is no peace-
Says the Lord-
For the wicked
For the wicked

So don’t wait
Please don’t wait to apologize
It’s not too late
Still not too late to turn around
It’s not too late
Jesus is waiting for knees to bow
It’s not too late
Still not too late to apologize
To Him

Is it too late
To heed your Word
To have peace
Like a river

  1. And, it is not too early to apologize. When someone becomes aware sin has entered their lives, though it may seem small and inconsequential, do not delay, seek God’s forgiveness, for sin is sin, either small or great. Seek the Lord for He has a love for you that goes beyond human understanding that can lift any burden from your heart. Practice your devotion by asking Him and it will become part of your nature to draw closer to Him in all circumstances.

    1. Good point, Bruce! Repentance ASAP is best, in light of God’s patience with us before His second coming as judge (Revelatoon 19).

  2. But, your original point is very, very important. I have encountered people who say that they are too far gone for God to accept them and this is where you song is so important. It is difficult for many who are not close to God to understand the depth of His forgiveness and His love for us. If they can drop the barriers and wickedness in their hearts and submit to Him, those healing waters will flow like a mighty stream. They hear the words of what God will not tolerate, but their ears are deaf to the forgiveness. So we pray for them that,

    “It’s not too late
Still not too late to turn around
    It’s not too late
Jesus is waiting for knees to bow”

I hope they will hear that melody!
